Highland Residential named 2019 finalist for Residential Lettings team of the Year!
We’re delighted to announce that Highland Residential has been named as one of 2 finalists shortlisted for Residential Lettings Team of the Year at the Herald Property Awards for Scotland. Last year, we were thrilled to be named Residential Sales Team of the Year 2018 and we hope that we will continue our success with another win this year for our Lettings service.
Our success…
Many people on a low income in Scotland struggle to meet private rent levels and are not able to qualify for social housing. We addressed this issue by developing a new commercial model to position the business as a registered and accredited landlord, which in turn allowed us to lease mid-market rent properties to those individuals living in the Highlands. All our mid-market properties have rents set at affordable rates – between 85% and 100% of the local housing allowance. This allows individuals struggling to afford private rent, the opportunity to secure an affordable rental home.
We’ve also been providing a full lettings management service since 2016, to help new and existing landlords find and secure tenants for their properties, as well as guiding them through legislation and administration.
We manage more than 140 properties across the Highlands (mid-market and private let) and we plan to expand our portfolio to combat the significant shortage of affordable rental homes in the Highlands.
